Cleveland Engineering Society: 127 years of
engineering excellence
Dawn started at CES in November 2007 challenged with making
a 128 year old organization fresh. New programs have been
added, including a social aspect, membership has increased, and
current technology is being employed. The soon to be released
website will be the “go to” site for engineers of all
disciplines. The New Faces of Engineering RoadShow, CES’s
community outreach program to encourage students to consider
engineering as a career option, is set to expand and there is a
renewed focus on BUGC (Build Up Greater Cleveland) and the
importance of its mission to have strong collaboration between
the public and private sectors.
Prior to joining CES, Dawn was the Director of Operations at
Simbionix USA. In her role there she was instrumental in moving
manufacturing from Israel to the Cleveland area. She
understands the challenges of working with different cultures
and most importantly the need to connect inventors of medical
devices to local manufacturers.
Dawn received her B.A. in communications from John Carroll
University.
She was also selected as one of Crain’s 40 under 40 Class of
2006.
