Director of Manufacturing and Product Development –
KISSOHIO, manufacturer of modular emergency disaster shelters.
Joe came to KISSOHIO with over 30 years of manufacturing and
new product development worldwide. He served in the Navy as an
enlisted man in the nuclear power program and retired as a
Lieutenant Commander.
Joe worked for Corning Incorporated as a Process Engineer,
Corporate Quality Engineer, and Worldwide Sourcing Manager,
responsible for new product development and quality for Corning
ware, Corelle, Pyrex and Revere Products. Joe clocks in more
than thirty years experience engineering world-class,
competitive manufacturing solutions. He has been operations
manager at various rubber extrusion and plastic molding
companies.
The entrepreneurial spirit bit and he
started Fields Process Technology, a Contract Manufacturing
Services company providing custom manufacturing, subassemblies,
and engineering services.
In 2003 he met Leroy Ozanne at the
University of Akron’s Polymer Expo and they began developing
the “EZ Wall Thermopanel”. During the process of developing the
panels he was awarded the NASA Glenn Garrett Morgan
Commercialization Award in 2004.
Joe has a BS degree in engineering
from Marquette University. He is a senior member of the
American Society of Quality (ASQ).
