Laura Steinbrink is a successful executive with a passion
for improving our community by engaging individuals in the
organizations and processes that lead to change and growth.
Over her career, she has created and launched initiatives,
served in leadership roles of local and national organizations,
and worked side by side with leaders in business, political and
civic sectors at local, state and national levels.
Currently, Laura is Director of Regional Partnerships for the
Fund for Our Economic Future, collaboration of philanthropy in
Northeast Ohio focused on leveraging assets to improve the
region’s economic competitiveness. Her primary responsibility
is to develop partnerships among organizations that are working
on initiatives that support the region’s economic action plan,
Advance Northeast Ohio.
Prior to joining the Fund in late 2007, Laura was a Senior
Advisor and Manager of Community Relations with University
Hospitals, a regional healthcare organization that serves
patients at over 150 locations in Northeast Ohio. She oversaw
supplier diversity, corporate sponsorships, community based
marketing, school-based initiatives, and green building
initiatives.
Laura was the co-founder and Executive Director of Cleveland
Bridge Builders (“CBB”), a nonprofit organization that builds
community leaders. In that role she led the organization’s
operations, fund development, public relations, strategy and
implementation and many partnerships. Laura developed strategy
and process to successfully grow the organization from one
product to a vibrant organization offering multiple products,
trainings and services.
Laura was also an account executive at Dix & Eaton, a
public relations and investor relations specialty firm and
spent time raising funds for various political campaigns and
political organizations. Laura’s career began in Washington, DC
at The Scowcroft Group, an international policy and business
consulting firm led by former national security advisor Brent
Scowcroft.
Ms. Steinbrink is active in our local community as a volunteer
and leader. She serves of several non-profit boards and
committees. Ms. Steinbrink holds a B.A. degree from Colby
College in Waterville, Maine and is currently pursuing her MBA
in Sustainable Business at Green Mountain College in Vermont.
She is a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building
Coalition.
Ms. Steinbrink resides in Westlake, Ohio with her husband
Kenyon Mau and their three children.
